Rock and Roll Cinema, better late than never

Getting off the tube and traveling through London’s Little India, I didn’t know what to expect until we emerged in what seemed like London’s Berkley. Grabbing a pint at the bar around the corner in what seemed like a members only for the kids of that town was an experience in its own. An industrial looking club inside painted in a modern art sort of way, with an outside patio like you would see on one of the numerous restaurants and bars on the beach in PB. We even got to try an 8.7% alcohol by volume beer that had head so thick running your finger through it felt like running it through gelled hair, and tasted like a much more flavorful Bud Light with a bitter after taste. The place where the shorts were at (93 feet west is an awesome address by the way) had an amazing atmosphere of a mock birthday party where everyone was welcomed as if they were friends with the guest of honor since grade school. My personal favorite was the slot car racing toy in the corner. We all piled into the small screening room, complete with movie chairs and plenty of floor seating. The movies themselves were a lot different than I expected, instead of full movies they were short films not part of the mainstream. It was really cool to see this side of film making in a place where the atmosphere perfectly compliments the films being shown.
